Casey & Her Kidney Experice

I am deeply moved by Ms. Juliana Casey story. How horrible it is that there are young people out there who have such unfortunate lives. In Ms. Casey's case, her kidneys began to die out at the age of 11...one, one... eleven. Her story strikes me because I used to go with my mom to take my grandmother to dialysis. I believe my grandmother was in her late 70's, early 80's when she started her treatment. She had the chance to live a normal life before she was put on her restrictions and given dialysis treatment, unlike Ms. Casey who only had part of her childhood. By the age of 19, a close friend donated her kidney to her. Ms. Casey final had the chance to live a normal life until the transplanted kidney also began to die out. Ms. Casey is now on the list for the Texas organ donating program. My prayers are out for her and like her.

If someone close to you kidney's failed, would you give up one of your kidneys?
