Chuck Norris as an Offical Texas Ranger!

Click on Chuck Norris's photo to view the Star-Telegram's article.

Texas Governor, Rick Perry, named Chuck Norris an honorary member of the elite Texas law enforcement force (Texas Ranger). No longer is Norris pretending to be that hero figure from his popular show in the 1990's, Walker Texas Ranger. He is now living that hero figure. Chuck Norris's brother, Aaron Norris, was also honored.

Are Customized Liscense Plates Bothering You?

Click the image above to see what some Texans are saying at the Star-Telegram's Website.

In Texas, it is not common to run across cars that have customize license plates (such as the image above). Not to say that Texans are not allowed to have them, it is rare to see them. However, those fortunate to be seen tend to be a little "offensive". For instance, take the plate above. Apparently, "TD2M" stand for "Talk Dirty To Me". Luckily for me, some nymphomaniac spotted this because my virgin little mind would have had no idea.

Here are a few others I found while surfing the net. I'll leave a caption underneath the image for clarification of what they say.

Pussy

Hazing (meaning you're high off a drug)

Exactly what it says! Then my personal favorite...

BOOM! U.S Air Force XD

As funny as these can be, should states put regulations on what can be written on license plates?

This image is property of the Waco Tribune Newspaper. Click the image to visit the site.

By now, most people are aware that they can access their local newspapers free, along with other top notch newspapers such as the Star-Telegram, Dallas Morning News, Houston Chronicle, and the Stateman. But how much longer before they begin to block free access to their website. Local newspaper in Waco, Texas, Waco Tribune, has already begun this process. They are but one small newspaper located between Austin and Dallas Texas but what is not to say that the others will soon have to follow? For now, most publication is still accessible but only time will reveal what is to come.

Casey & Her Kidney Experice

For the full articles visit Austin's newspaper, The Statesman, website by clicking the above photo.

I am deeply moved by Ms. Juliana Casey story. How horrible it is that there are young people out there who have such unfortunate lives. In Ms. Casey's case, her kidneys began to die out at the age of 11...one, one... eleven. Her story strikes me because I used to go with my mom to take my grandmother to dialysis. I believe my grandmother was in her late 70's, early 80's when she started her treatment. She had the chance to live a normal life before she was put on her restrictions and given dialysis treatment, unlike Ms. Casey who only had part of her childhood. By the age of 19, a close friend donated her kidney to her. Ms. Casey final had the chance to live a normal life until the transplanted kidney also began to die out. Ms. Casey is now on the list for the Texas organ donating program. My prayers are out for her and like her.

If someone close to you kidney's failed, would you give up one of your kidneys?

Quoted by Nathan Biller in the Times Record News
"For those who wish to set a personal best record this Thanksgiving, Biller has some advice:

■ Start with am empty stomach. “I mean, don’t eat breakfast. You want to leave yourself plenty of room.”

■ Eat quickly. “You have to start fast and eat plenty before your stomach can tell your brain you’re full.”

■ Drink lots of water as you eat. “Lots of people think it will fill you up but it actually lets you swallow bigger chunks of food.”

■ Save dessert for last. “This is very heavy stuff so start with the turkey and dressing, no matter how much you want to sneak that piece of pie.”"
